The CNSMD Lyon is an institution in continuous motion that has been creating a dialogue between the avant-garde, openness and trans-disciplinarity for more than 40 years with the values of excellence, commitment, experimentation and creativity – essential pillars of a great international art school.

Since its creation, the CNSMD Lyon has shown a strong desire for pedagogical and artistic innovation, breaking with the academic model of its time, anticipating certain developments in the sector and promoting the emergence of artist-creator profiles, socially aware and open to all the arts.

The CNSMD Lyon is a national institution of higher education  in music and dance under the Ministery of Culture.
